Drawing With Arturo
I was asked by Bentkey, a kids streaming platform, to create a how to draw segment series for their social media. It had to be in a vertical format so it could be used on Instagram reels, Youtube shorts and TikTok and it had to be something for boys.
I decided to pitch a mixed medium property called "Drawing With Arturo" featuring a handmade puppet figure named Arturo that showed kids how to draw simple things like frogs, robots and dinosaurs. When it came to the actual drawing part, I hand sewed two green puppet style gloves from fleece that would match the color of the puppets arms. I wore them to draw the subject with a sharpie marker.
At the end of each drawing to add a bit more life to the shorts, the figure drawn would be animated.
